Deciding Upon New or Used Construction Equipment

In the world of heavy machinery, one needs to be aware of some interesting cultural differences before deciding upon new or used equipment. In the USA, new excavation equipment can be amazingly inflated in terms of pricing. Another approach is to buy pre-owned. This presents some important questions for a prospective buyer of items like used excavators. Such as:

- Where’s the best place to buy?
– Is the seller dependable?
– How much can I save?

Japan is the world leader in the making of excavators and the mini-excavator – equipment that has been increasing in demand in the States for many years. Cat (Mitsubishi), Deere (Hitachi), Case (Sumitomo and Kobelco), Komatsu, IHU, Yanmar and the like all come from Japan. The Japanese have utilized these machines for going on three decades in large volume. In recent times, the Japanese economy has been in recession creating off-leasing and repossessions. American and Japanese companies have taken advantage of this situation creating a potential for {big-huge} savings for American companies requiring this type of equipment.

Obviously, the question of quality arises. Companies need to know if the used equipment they are considering buying is going to fall apart on them and cause losses. It’s good to know that the Japanese are rigidly strict on maintenance regimes within their own organizations. Replacement parts are readily available from construction equipment manufactures, being created locally. Therefore the machinery undergoes more regular servicing than used equipment does in many other countries-areas around the globe.

The Japanese soil is something else to consider. In general|Generally, it is more machine-friendly, causing less wear and tear on the equipment. That along with with the strict management principals of the Japanese add up to longer lasting excavators. When these machines come up for resale or exporting, they present a great way for American businesses to save and save big. The reason to buy used excavators is obvious – huge savings!
